Welcome to Sulam: the Center for Jewish Service Learning. We exist to help Jewish teens in greater Los Angeles maximize the impact of their community service experience. We know that your teen is doing more and more volunteer work and we want to help them to find a quality service experience. More importantly, we want to help your teen to understand more deeply how their service to others connects them to their Jewish tradition and to their own emerging personal identity. So, we encourage you to use the many resources on this site to guide your teen into the process of study and reflection. The website provides opportunities for Jewish learning and helpful “how to” information on personal reflection, creating one’s own service project, and stories about the impact of service.
